The Rainbow Room

Treat yourself to a stay in this richly decorated penthouse suite. Enjoy mountain views from the rooftop hot tub and soak under the stars year-round! Resplendent with fine art, Indian and Spanish artifacts, you'll be immersed in the colorful and creative atmosphere of "Old Taos".

The room itself is a showcase of northern New Mexican woodwork...rich, warm and tactile, the staircases, cabinets, doors and furniture are all hand-crafted. The two Indian-made adobe fireplaces lend warmth and romance....

The lovely ceiling of vigas with latillas, color-washed in the spectrum of the rainbow, was inspired by a similar ceiling created for Mabel Dodge Luhan by Paco's grandfather, Ralph Meyers.


A King-size bed, full kitchen, dining area, tub with shower, large flat-screen TV, DVD player & stereo are also provided.

La Madonna

Adorned with original artwork featuring the Madonna and child, La Madonna is dedicated to the love and security provided by mothers everywhere.

A spacious second-floor suite offering a spectacular view of the sacred Taos Mountain to the north and sunrise to the east. Enjoy vistas for miles and miles from the beautifully carved private balcony.

A large, colorful adobe fireplace embraces the bedroom in warmth and comfort. Custom doors and cabinetry display fine craftsmanship in the northern New Mexican woodworking tradition.

Two queen-size beds with coverlets hand-embroidered in the traditional New Mexican colcha stitch welcome the traveling family and couples alike.A twin-size daybed in the sitting room is available for use in a pinch.

A bathtub with shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVD players, stereo, fridge and microwave are also provided.

Santiago

A touch of "Old World" Spain! Santiago or Saint James, is the patron saint of both Spain and Taos!

Greeted by morning sun and mountains to the north and east, this lovely second-floor room is decorated with fine art and furniture from Spain and Old Mexico. Enjoy an atmosphere of quiet elegance and respite in the center of the historic downtown.

Paco's mother and father lived in Spain in the 1950's where his father, Carlos, received his Doctorate from the University of Madrid. Nina pursued her art career and blossomed in the rich, ancient environment. A few of the treasures they brought home grace this room.

A King bed, an adobe fireplace and jacuzzi bathtub, flat-screen TV, DVD player, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Yellow Bird Deer

A colorful and cozy ground-floor suite decorated in a Native theme. A tiny museum unto itself, featuring fine artwork and artifacts, including Plains Indian beaded mocassins, Hopi Kachinas, Navajo rugs and Pueblo pottery.

Paco's Indian name, Yellow Bird Deer, or in Tiwa, Too-Shkool-Moe-Pay-Na, was given to him by a close Taos Pueblo friend that worked for Ralph in the early days.

French doors open onto the inn's patio, a flower-filled oasis in the Summer and Fall. An Indian-made adobe fireplace casts warmth and a comforting glow in the colder months.

A king bed, a twin-size daybed and jacuzzi bathtub with shower are included.Two flat screen TVs, DVD player, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Red Willow

Taos...an ancient word meaning place of the red willows. Paying homage to the people of Taos Pueblo and surrounding tribes, the Red Willow Suite showcases a wonderful collection of Native-themed artwork and artifacts.

With adobe walls two feet thick, vigas, latillas and much local charm, this early nineteenth century ground-floor suite occupies one of the oldest sections of the inn. Paco built the old-style corner fireplace in the sitting room from two-hundred year-old adobe mud bricks.

The bedroom boasts an aspen-log queen-size bed, while the adjacent sitting room offers a hand-carved daybed with twin trundle bed for additional guests. A jacuzzi bath with shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVD players, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Los Angelitos

Angels watch over you in this charmingly decorated ground-floor suite! You'll sleep safe and sound embraced by a collection of angels from around the world!

An Indian-made adobe fireplace lends warmth and romance, while an adobe archway invites you into the sunny sitting-room.Authentically furnished with hand-carved New Mexican furniture,

Features a Queen bed and twin-size daybed with twin-size trundle bed for extra guests. A jacuzzi bathtub with shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVD players, fridge & microwave are also provided.

*This suite is the best choice for those with limited mobility.

Sonrisa

Sonrisa means "smile"....and this sunny second-floor room brims over with color and whimsy!

A joyful haven featuring original works by early Taos artist, Gisella Loeffler. Paco's mother, Nina, also added her own touches to help create this exuberant retreat.

A custom tile mural depicting the Garden of Eden wraps around a jacuzzi bathtub for two. A floor to ceiling mural by Kristine Keheley completes the scene....have an apple!

You'll sleep safe and sound in the queen-size canopy bed near the colorful adobe fireplace.

A flat-screen TV, DVD player, fridge & microwave are also provided.

La Luz

Up a tiny spiral staircase, there is a little gem...a cozy hideaway. La Luz, "the light" is a petite suite on the third-floor.

Bathed in morning sun, one can see the sacred mountain while lying in bed. A private balcony and deck offer big sky and stars above!

A Queen-size bed, custom tiled shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVD players, coffee, fridge & microwave are provided.

*Taller guests should be aware that the sitting room has low ceilings (bottom of beams is 6' 2") and doorways as well as part of the entry stairs have lower than standard clearances.

*Bring smaller bags that you can manage up the four foot diameter spiral staircase!
